Reflection of My CSW Class

I really enjoyed this class , the teacher and T.A. were awesome and very helpful. When I started the semester I dreaded the thought of long research papers and boring classes but my English class was anything but that. The fun of video editing and web design totally distracted me from all the real work I was doing on my paper. I'm really glad I chose to do my Podcast and Podcast Slideshow on my Mac instead of using the schools computers since a lot of the students had problems uploading or saving their projects. If I could change one thing about the class for next semester it would be that instead of doing the video / audio editing in class on a PC that there are specially scheduled Mac lab days to make those projects easier to complete resulting in way less stress for students.

The way she talks about it makes me feel like she either is really close to someone has been a victim of domestic violence , or was herself.

I hope she interviews a friend or talks about a personal story that might be related to her topic.


Both did a good job communicating the goal of their podcast through their presentation.

My attempt at Paraphrasing

The Twenties, a time where classical music was rarely listened to and jazz was ringing in the ears of everyone throughout America. A time where drinking was illegal much like speeding is illegal today, everyone knew it was illegal but that stopped nobody. A time where Police had as much power against organized crime as a young child would. While all this was going on the stars of Jazz were becoming legends in the minds of Americans. The Twenties , a time where America began breaking away from the past , and building its future.

Research Topic

I really have no idea what I might want to research , most of the topics I've ever been interested in are either to narrow to research and write papers on or are just rumors or myths. I'm not sure what I'll research but I'm definitely thinking about it.
